Have 50 amp coach with EMS power panel. Shouldn't the amp readout show up when I'm plugged into 50 amp shore power? Get no amp reading when plugged in, but get amp reading when on generator power. Also get amp reading on 30 amp and 20 amp power. Does anyone know what is going on with my EMS?
Thanks,
Megawatt

Megawatt, this is the normal operation of the design intellitec has built into the system. I agree that you would think that you should get an amp draw reading while on 50 amp but youo will rarley if every draw that much on both legs to give you a problem. I will have to look at the schematics again but I believe they are monitoring the neutral and so to be accurate you would need to monitor both hot legs as equal amperage on both will cancel out and you would have a 0 reading on the neutral. If you want to download the schematic go to: http://www.intellitecsve.com/

Your EMS is operating correctly. There is no need to manage energy when plugged into 50amp, thus no display.
