I have flex steel faux leather seats and a couch in my coach. I emailed them and asked about using Scotchguard on the product. No response. Has anyone used this product on the faux leather surface of Flex Steel products?

The only thing I have used on our furniture is a leather cleaner and conditioner. I think the last brand was Mequires. We do keep the sofa covered with a denim cover to help protect it from Muffin. My recliner is only covered in the seat. They have held up very well for the 6 years we have lived in it. The sofa still looks like new. You could try a Scotch Guard prouct on an inconspicuous area if the "use & care" tag does not rule it out. Good luck and keep us posted.

I would also read the directions on the Scotchguard can to see if it is recommended for faux leather.

We have a dog who is not allowed on the furniture EXCEPT when we are in motion. We use a doggie seat belt harness for her when we travel, so she always sits in the same place on our Ultraleather couch. We have had no problems removing soil from our Ultraleather using nothing but a damp paper towel (sometimes with a drop or two of dish detergent). The Ultraleather web site recommends spray cleaner such as Fantastik or Formula 409, which should do well in removing stubborn soil; but we've never even needed this type cleaner. I don't know if Scotchguard is really necessary since Ultraleather seems to clean up so easily. We have over 27,000 miles and almost 3 years of full-time living on our 2005 coach.
