Fixing a leaking vacuum breaker on your RV toilet

Hi all

I had a leaking vacuum breaker on my Sealand (Dometic) toilet last month. The vacuum breaker prevents back flow from the toilet into the potable water system of your RV. On my toilet it is part of the bowl flush that is hidden up behind the back of the stool.

I made a video of the process that you can watch here. I also fixed the rusty flush lever which was making the toilet flush valve stick open. Doing it yourself will easily save you money and it is not difficult at all.

You can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/_56kNVNs72Q

And Marcus laughs all the way to the bank. Great how-to though.

Good job on the video, but like the other guy said, the music was distracting. I bought a couple of a parts in advance, knowing these RV toilets eventually have problems. We had one overflow already but it hasn't come back. I took the suggestion of others here on this board and never leave my site with the outside water connected or the water pump left on.
I think my problem making the repair will be extended crouching and contorting. I already have been thru 2 hernia surgeries and they are not pleasant..... Sorry, you really didn't want to hear that .

Anyhow, great do it yourself and thanks for the effort. I know filming it and narrating it on the spot is not so easy either. May your toilet never leak again...
