I'm not sure if this is the correct forum - if not, please forward to the right place.
My Co-Pilot's chair is a Flex-Steel 6-Way seat. We're parked for a couple of weeks and turned it around for LR seating. I raised the leg rest, but when I tried to lower it, no joy.
There is a buzzing sound when I press the "up" side of the button (the leg rest is as high as it's supposed to go.) When I press the "down" side of the button there is no buzz or indication it's working. Obviously sounds like an electrical problem, but I don't where to start trying to get it down. (BTW we are going to Nappanee for other warranty work in early April!)
Any suggestions to help us get the leg rest down will be greatly appreciated. If you can help me do it electrically, I'll dance at your next wedding!
Thanks!

Don't know if your problem is the same, but when the foot rest of mine wouldn't go down, I found it was because the threaded rod had been ejected from the screw drive. After a fair amount of (mechanical) dinking around, I got the rod back into the drive and it has worked fine ever since. I just avoid extending it all the way.
If I am recalling correctly, there was some padding or upholstery caught up the the mechanism too, which had to be worked out and either cut back or fastened out of the way.

It sounds as though you are not getting power from the switch to the motor in the retract selection. If you need to get it down in order to drive, you can reverse the motor wires and when you push the button to extend the foot rest out it will retract instead. All you are doing is reversing the dc voltage poarity which will cause the motor to run in the oposite direction.

What John66 said.. I had the same thing happen to mine in my o4 CC Inspire. After the second time I put a Lock nut on the end of the threaded rod to keep it from comming out.

All - thanks for your replies, solutions and suggestions! ALL will be used. RVWizard - what a "duh" moment for an emergency fix. It looks like a simple spade end unplug and plug-in.
I'm sure we can do without raising the leg rest until our Nappanee visit in early April. It's late and the light is not good, so I'll wait until the AM. If that doesn't work, as The Terminator said, "I'll be back!"
