Foam Filter for Roof Top AC Ducted

Has anyone sourced replacement foam filter material for their ducted ceiling Dometic AC units.

Ours are 19 years old and now falling apart when washed.

It would seem easy to find but I do not know what to call the foam mesh type material.

Go to lowes.com and search for AC Filter. Frost King has sheets of foam filter material that can be cut to size.

Well, maybe I answered my own question.

Home Depot sells an item that appears to be an adequate size.

Frost King 15 in. x 24 in. x 1/4 in. Foam Room A/C FPR 2 Air Filter-F1524 at The Home Depot

I stopped using the foam filters years ago and switched to Filtrete Filters.

I use THIS one from Lowe's for the Pre-Filter. It is course enough to catch dust & dirt, etc and can be washed and vacuumed hundreds of times before replacing if ever needed.

I also use the Filtrete 1900 filter in the 13.25 inch X 13.25 inch X 1 inch size and that gets placed up into the square opening above the course Blue Pre-Filter.

I change the Filtrete 1900 about 3 times per pear depending on the use of the A/C's.

I have used this method for the past 8 years with great success and the box above the filters remain VERY clean.
