So.......
We had our grandson and nephew with us for weekend. Hot, 90 plus, Michigan. Met up with parents, put dog in MH because we could run AC with our gennie. For breakfast. So far, so far. Kept blowing breaker. 5Kw gen, 50 amp system. Hmmmm? Well, I had left the electric circuit on for the water heater and had tried to run AC's. Found out we CANNOT run AC's with water heater at the same time. AC's and anything else, TV, Microwave, charge stuff, but Not water heater.

A 30 amp system is 3,600 watts. A 5Kw gen is 5,000 Watts. A 50 amp RV system is 12,000 watts.
Yep, sounds like you did find the limit of the generator!
