This is our first year out in cold temps. Usually the RV is winterized and stored by now. The temps are getting below freezing at night. I have heard some people say to just let the water drip to keep the line from freezing. How cold can it be to just let the water drip instead of unhooking the water and using the on board supply? It is getting up to the mid 40s during the days. It would not be a big deal except where we are the way hookup is s bit abnormal and the fewer times I need to mess with it the better....just not at the cost of frozen water lines.
Thanks

The best way to camp in freezong weather is to fill your water tank during the day, then store the water hose after draining, then just use the on board water. Same for the grey and black, drain them during the day when it is warmer, you should last 4 or 5 days or more before you have to do anything.

I use 75-100 watt bulbs, and put a couple in the wet bay, in the basement, near the water filter, one under the sink and one in the water heater compartment.

My coach has electric outlets in each of these areas, but if you don't have outlets, you might use extension cords from inside the coach and the power outlets in the outside stand.

Hope that helps.

If it's getting into the 40s during the day it can't be too far below freezing and not for long at night (probably early morning). Wrap some insulation around your hose and faucet and don't worry about it. Now when it gets to where is below freezing for several hours and only warms up to the mid 30s go to Plan B above.
