Fresh water tank leaking

On my '03 Pace Arrow whenever I fill the fresh water tank I have a leak that appears to be at the connection for the tank drain. By looking in the small opening by the pump(with a mirror) I can barely see the connection and there is no way to get to it.
There is a panel on the drivers side that, if I put the slide out, I can remove 4 screws and then have limited access to the back of the tank (seems to be two fresh water tanks). This opening is maybe 10"high by 4' long. The drain is in the forward tank. The slide bar that the slide motor operates is in the way to get to the tank.
Has anyone experienced a leak like this and if so how did you fix it?
Anyone with ideas- i would appreciate your input.

I have ran into problems similar and there are times one tank has to be removed to get access to the second tank for repairs. Have you tried tightening the fitting by using a pair of pliers on the pipe sticking down below?

Actually, the drain pipe runs about 5 1/2 feet across the flooring and then does a 90 degree thru the floor connecting to a 1 1/2 foot extension, so it can't be turned.
I am considering cutting the extension off and trying to twist the pipe going to the tank and then reconnecting the extension.
Looks like the other option is to remove the back tank and pull the front tank backwards to get it out.
Might live with it till winter as it appears to be a chore.
