So what do most of you do with your freshwater tank when not using your RV for a couple of weeks? We will be sitting idle for around 30 days..

Keep it full to the top?

Empty it completely?

I have city water so my thought was to fill it completely and add a little bleach.

We used the Freshwater up on our last trip and filled it just yesterday a little over 1/2. That is enough water for us. We use bottled water for drinking and so on.
We just don't want to carry too much water with us. We make a lot of short trips, so - we keep always some water in the Tank until around the 1st of November or so.

We just leave it in the Tank and add to about 1/2. Our MH is around the corner (500 yards) in the Gated Comm.. Ready to roll any minute. Since we don't drink it. If it is ONLY our Housewater, we just add. If we have to mix from a CG we use it up and flush the tank with our Housewater and fill 1/2
afterwards.

If my MH is stored for over 30 days I drain it and store it empty.

Since we live here in BC in an 'Earth rattle' area, we plan on using it as an emergency "run away" vehicle. As far away as we get the first day, if we still can? We leave everything open. Look at the 'Wild fires' everwhere in the USA and Canada this year. To have some water on board is very important.
We would even DRINK that water.

I agree with hardy1000. We keep our water at least 1/2 full when in use for the summer. If we are going to not use it for over 2 weeks I will drain it. We have cleaned and sanitized our tank and we use it for drinking. Thats why you clean and sanitize all lines and tank. JMHO

To be safe, like you, I add a little bleach( pool chlorine ) to the fresh water when it will be sitting unused..usually keep it 1/2 full...We only use the fresh water while traveling and not for drinking...then use CG water at rv site..The fresh water tank
will usually hold this for the whole season, so the chlorine is important...
