I don't think I have a regulator on the street side. I have not added anything...I'm stock just like Bryan built it.
I did reset the thermostat. Then set it back up to heat...the fan came on and then went off after a few (think about a minute). THEN...
I left for work and about 30 minutes later Miss Jo calls and said the furnace kicked on AUTOMATICALLY and ran until she shut it off.
So, all I did was move the tank with propane to the curb side. Then after something "warmed up" it started by itself. WHAT HAPPENED and what do I need to have done to allay a future problem?

Just as I suspected. Virg, go back and read all the posts on adding the 30 lbs. pressure regulator to eliminating the condition you described. Wrongway did a really good post and so did many others. I did too, but Wrongway says it so much better than me. You found your problem. Seems always this happens in the middle of the night when it cold outside! Glad you got it under control. Add the regulator and you'll be good.

My thoughts are that it is in the automatic switchover valve. It may show that it switched but it did not switch. The cold effects it some how.

Oh come on Still trucking,
There is so much info on this issue that makes it clearly the lack of the regulator that needs to be added to the road side line. Read, farm boy, read! (I'm such a smart posterior) Lord I apologize!

I have not had the described problem since adding the regulator. Call Donna she knows what you need. She will send you the regulator and needed fittings.
