Here is a couple information sites to look at: OPERATION VIDEO and TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE.
Have you turned the furnance off at the T-stat and turned it back on. If the furnance fails to light, turning on/off will reset the board. Always nice to have an electric backup.

Let me see if I can muck through this. I had the exact same thing happen. It was very cold here in CO, about 10 degrees when it happened to me.
The curbside tank went empty and it flipped over to the roadside tank. But because of the cold and the lendth of pipe and the sudden surge of pressure the check valve on the tank went into action.
The next morning, when we opened the trailer it was verrrrryyyy cold in there. Thank God we sere not sleeping in there.
PI does have a hi pressure regulator to help with the problem if that is what happened to you. You may want to shut all the tanks and vent the lines and slowly open the tank valves. I am not sure if that will help or not but it is worth a try.
As was explained to me the other items are not that sensitive to the gas pressure like the furance is.
Check out this thread it will really help
Propane system question

Larry & Workshop-- thanks for the replys,I am going to have to wait till morning, too cold and dark out there now. Looked at the "Trouble Shooting Guide" going to try a couple of things. However, Larry after reading the thread you mentioned I am thinking Propane problem. So I will look at that in the morning, will let you guys know what I find out. Thanks again. by the way I really can spell FURNACE, SEE. The DW pointed out that mistake in the topic.

We had the same problem with our furnace the first time we tried to use it. Talked with Jack at SC and he suggested we take it to the local Atwood service center, seems these are new to Atwood as well, they finally decided there was a bad control board. Atwood took care of all the charges and the furnace is working fine.

Try scrolling thru the menu on the thermostat. Sometimes we have to do this to get the A/C to come on. If your tanks are on opposite sides and you don't have a regulator on the far side, I will bet that is your problem. Do a search here on the forum and you will see some of us have had this problem.

I always say it is a pretty poor person who can't figure out a couple of different ways to spell a word.

I always hate it when the spell checker can't find some of my words. If it wasn't for the small dictionary I have to keep next to the computer....there's no telling what language I would be speakin.
Hope you were able to correct the problem.

GOT IT FIXED--thanks to you Larry, REDWING, LLOYD,and all the rest of you that tried to help. Here is the deal-- the curb side propane tank was empty, it had switched over to the street side tank. I took the street side tank and moved it over to the curb side, tried the furnace and it worked perfectly.but the water heater and stove top never did stop working.SO do I need another regulator on the street side, that what I was understanding from the thread Larry suggested reading? Or could it be something else ? Sleeping warm tonight, DW is Happy. Thanks again--Dick

I think you had the switchover problem happen (like we talked about in a previous link) the furnace tried to relight 3 times than stops trying until you "reset" the furnace operation. This would happened if you had turned off the thermostat switch and turned back on. Then it would have tried the cycle over again. By that time you would have had propane back to the furnace and you'd would have lit back up again. I speak from experience on this one. Put the regulator on the road side gas line and you got that problem fixed. HTH Tom

Somewhere I read that the furnace is the picky one the water heater and stove don't require as much gas to operate. I'll see if I can find it.

I too thought I had this problem this morning but it must be something else and therefore, I'm open for suggestions.
Furnace would not fire. Fan comes on and runs for a few seconds like normal but then shuts off. I have propane in one tank. So I turned off both tanks, removed the empty curbside tank and started to disconnect the roadside tank and even after turning it off, it still "spewed" a lot of gas but it was coming out of the line...not out of the tank. It eventually stopped and I moved that tank (the full one) over to the curbside thinking I had the same problem discussed above. However, when I got the good tank installed on the curbside and turned back on, the furnace still refused to fire. I cycled thru the mode switch like the Atwoods call for sometime, the fan came on like normal ran a few minutes and then shut off again. Feels like the electronic "pilot" is just not firing......any ideas before I call the service dudes?

Virg,
Did you put the pressure regulator on the road side tank line? I can't remember. You didn't mention that you actually shut off the heater switch to off for a few seconds, then turn back on to heat, then set the mode button to AU.
Remember, if the heater attempt to restart 3 times it goes into the "I'm shutting down and not doing a darn thing until I'm reset mode". If you don't have the pressure regulator installed, that may be what happened when the tank did a switchover. Folks get confused cause they switch tanks etc, try the heater again and it won't lite because they didn't reset the heater switch. They have gas to everything else so they know it's not a gas problem. Try that first and see what happens. Let us know. rockin'
