Furnace blowing cool air

Hello everyone--I'm new to this (or any) forum and would appreciate your advice before I call a local repair shop to diagnose and shell out $$$. I have a 1999 Safari Continental with two Duo-Therm thermostats. I have flipped the switch on both thermostats to "furnace" and have gotten the unit(s?) to blow but I only get cool air. There is another switch in the bedroom that says "Heater" and I turned it on to high to start the blower. One other switch is above the dining room table (inside a cabinet) that is also turned "on" but I can't remember if that's for the furnace or not.

Any suggestions why it won't blow warm air?

You might try contact cleaner on pc board in the heater compartment. Many rv problems can be caused by dirty contacts.

Send a message via Skype™ to LandKinaMoho
Read the trouble shoot section of the furnace system. Primary solutions are usually found within.:0)

First you need to identify your switches and what does what.
Then, you can find out what it is and isn't doing easily. Obviously you hear the air blowing, so that's working. Go outside to the furnace intake/exhaust vents. Have someone turn on one furnace, and then listen. You should hear the fan. Then a louder click eventually and then smell gas. That is the gas valve opening.
Then the ignitior will start clicking to ignite the gas. Find out what you do and don't have and we can go from there.

my front furnace is doing the same - blowing cool air. The blower is running, I can smell the gas and I can hear the igniter clicking but the blower continues blow cool air until I turn it off.

Its a Suburban SF-20, Any ideas on what might be wrong? The back furnace works fine.

Make sure the pilot lights. Sometimes insects get in there and build a nest preventing the pilot from lighting. If the pilot doesnt light the main burner will not light. Low battery can also prevent the sail switch from closing.

It's not a pilot light, but the actual burner and flame itself. That's the great thing about DSI.
Also, if the sail switch does not close the circuit, it will not open the valve or try to ignite.
I would pull out the burner assembly and clean it all. And the orifice too.
