Furnace lights then stops

My furnace was working fine last week. Today I fire it up and it fires then stops. It does that 3 times then totally shuts down.
Any idea why it does that??
It is an Atwood 8531-IV DCLP.
Thank you for your help.

It sounds like your flame sense probe isn't reporting back to the control board , and after three tries the control board locks up .

Are on FHU and battery charger working? If not low battery voltage can cause this problem.

Check for blocked/covered registers, check LP tank level, check for an obstruction in the combustion air intake of the side of the RV, check the flame sensor. Do the other LP appliances run OK?

I turned on the stove and it lit off just fine.
So just for drill, I tried to start the furnace, it started and ran for a bit. I shut it off and tried to restart it, No go, nothing at all. I checked my batteries and they are up. I read the trouble shooting link. Guess I will get a little more involved tomorrow by disconnecting connections and reconnecting then go from there.
I'm still open for specific suggestions from here otherwise to the shop she goes. Probably a good idea anyway to have a pro look at it and do the maintenance.
Thanks to your replies thus far. Your " The Best "

I would say what Skip426 said as a basic cause.

You may have a faulty sail switch.

Update. I think I have it fixed, knock on wood. When I had it running the other day, I could make it stop by wiggling wires and then move them again real quick and it would fire. So, I went in there, kind of a pain, and opened things up, disconnected all wires I could, put some dieelectric grease on and reattached all connections I could. Got it all back together, and so far it's running good. I tried wiggling wires again after all that and it continued to run. All is well, until the next , hello, I need fixing, project.
It's a learning experience. Like I said before, it's my new hobby, working on the MH.
Thanks for your replies. Much appreciated.

These things will definitely keep you busy but can be satisfying. If you still have an issue be sure the connections are tight too.
