hello everyone. my family and i just upgraded from a starcraft 1224 popup to a 29 ft sunline solaris 2980. i got it home and noticed that the battery started to charge while towing and the furnace blower was running. checked the thermostat and the switch was off and at the lowest setting.then i turned on the gas turned on the furnace and set the stat and just got cold air.turned off stat and gas. blower continues to run and kills the battery untill i plug back in. looked in furnace door to investigate futher an found 1 three second blink and turned off power switch. trailer has been sitting only a few months.dont understand why if stat is off why blower would run. can anyone please help? thanks jeff.

Is there a fan switch on the tstat. If yes than it needs to be in the auto mode.

Does the blower run for more than 5 minutes? Or are you just stating that the blower runs even with the t-stat turned off? All LP furnaces have a cool-down period that runs the fan for several minutes after they are turned OFF.

As for the "auto/on" fan mode on the t-stat, that has NO effect on an LP furnace. That is ONLY for the air conditioner and/or heat pump (electric heat).

Please list the make and model of your furnace. Sounds like there may be a problem with it.

We don't know the age of the furnace and the older control boards did not shut the fan off if it failed to ignite; they would run the battery down if not being charged. If you have the newer style board (fan relay on board) it or the fan delay relay are stuck; keeping the fan motor powered up. Recommend you have the unit serviced by a qualified technician to not only perform annual maintenance but also troubleshoot fan issue.

Have the board checked.
