I have an 02 Southwind 32V and the furnace wont light. The fan motor turns on, I can hear the ignitor going, I even smell the propane but no familiar "whoosh" when it lights. It tries to light about 3 times then shuts down. I purged the system by lighting the stove top and letting it run a couple minutes and still the same. Any advice on where to start to look? Thanks
Justin

Here is a link to different furnace's.
You may have a defective or dirty electrode igniter.

Go to W-Mand get a can of air. Blow out the gas nozzle and that area. Could be spider webs in the works.

BTW, I recommend averyone keep a can of air around as it comes in handy for any number of jobs.

I have tried all these suggestions with no luck. Blew out the tube and still nothing. Took out the circuit board and checked the connections, still nothing. Do you think its the board? I called my local rv service place and they want $40 to bench test the board even if I bring it in. I can get a new dinosaur one for $80. I couldn't figure out how to get the ignitor probe out, its stuffed in there behind the valve. Any other help is appreciated. Thanks.

The igniter probe recognizes you have a flame of burner when its lit if sensor is dirty or has a carbon build up just cleaning the ceramic flame sensor maybe all thats required.
Clean with soft cloth.
Do you see flame when furnace tries to ignite?
We need to know what model furnace you have.

There is no flame at all. I pulled the electrode out and turned it on and there was no spark between the probe and the grounding pole. I pulled the lead wire off and grounded it and had good spark the entire time. I tried to bend them a little closer and ended up breaking the grounding pole off. I have ordered a new probe but it wont be in until next week so I will update when I get that installed. I also ordered the sail switch since I was making an order anyways. Thanks for the help. My model # is 8535-IV dclp by Atwood if that helps you any.

I beleive the grounding probe gets it ground from the mounting to frame of furnace.
If you have rust or dirty mounting may need to clean up before mounting new one.
Your furnace is in that link provided. Thanks for model number.

No rust or anything like that, when I was testing it I was grounding the mounting bracket to the heater. Still no luck, guess now it doesn't matter since I broke it!! At least I will know if it's the probe or not, and it's the cheapest part to start with. Process of elimination.

In this PDF go to page 10 shows your burner with one wire to your electrode, than go to page 30 trouble section will show burner will not ignite.
Your electrode has one heavy wire others you will see on other models have two a black wire that goes to ground, your ground is through screws to frame of furnace.
Check with meter from a 12V supply to frame and see if 12V registers on meter, if your have a grounded frame it should.

That says several things.
A) You would not get spark if blower motor was running to slow (required for sail switch to close)
B) Sail switch and limit switch are working OK. Will not spark if sail does not close (verifies fan motor is runnig at or above minimum speed.)

You are down to:
A) Ignitor or
B) Gas valve or
C) Circuit board not giving gas valve or ignitor signal at proper time.

Ok, I got the new part for the igniter but it has different wires on it this time. The part # 7057 I needed was replaced by this one. Like it says this is it's replacement but different. It has a single black wire coming off the probe to a female end. The old one had a male spade on the end of the probe and no wire. It also came with another red wire that is a double female. Any idea how to make the connections? I need some help, I'm getting very frustrated!! Thanks

You will have to go down to the autosupply and buy a male spade lug and install it on the black wire.
