First, Thanks for the tip on GFI breaker. AND, I see some confusion on Converters and Inverters. All of us with RV's have a converter. It takes 110 and converts it to 12V. That is why all inside 12V light bulbs and fans work on 110 or 12V. An Inverter (converts) 12V into 110. Most inverters are an after market add on and are the size of a brick for small ones ( 400 watts ) That will plug into your 12V dash plug in and will charge phones and not a whole lot else. 18 Wheeler truckers use "huge" inverters and they are hard wired to the truck battery system. They allow the use of reefers,micro-waves and coffee pots. In my company delivery van I have a 700 watt. It will run a small apartment size reefer, laptop, printer and a light. RV stores sell them and can help you decide what size to buy. A 400 to 600 watt might cost from $29 to $69. I hope this will help clarify.
