A while back I posted that I had lost power to both my CO and Gas Detectors. I looked everywhere for their power source to no avail. I finally gave up and tapped on to a pos power lead thats connected to the display panel nearby (batt, water, tanks, etc.) with a 2amp inline fuse and retained the neg return lead.
It then worked fine and I now would readily know if I lost power again by the panel not working, right?
Well, wrong!!!! Seems that the panel and everything else is still working, my 2amp fuse is good, but I've lost power again and still don't have a clue to where it might have been coming from.
This one has really got me going and the only thing that comes to mind other than another hidden fuse panel somewhere, is that there's something wrong with my DC fuse panel that I'm not seeing.
I'm going to look into buying a circuit tracer if I can find something thats dependable, but in the meantime, I thought there might be someone else out there that has experienced the same problem and eventually found a solution.
Any help is appreciated as always.

tropical36, On my Winnie, I have to separate DC circuit breaker panels. One is located in the wheel well side of the lower kitchen cabinet and the other is located under the stairs behind a metal plate behind the battery compartment.

Would it be possible that you have not located a 2nd location ?????

Driver....
It certainly is possible and thats what I've been banking on but I haven't located another as yet. After reading your reply, I explored the whole galley area, especially since it's right above the main DC panel in the basement behind the entry door. I came up with nothing.

Thanks for the drawings. They are a little more complete than the ones I have on file and I will study them for something that I might have missed.

Make certain that you have a good ground conductor; for a complete circuit.

Update and solution...
I found another pos wire and the one that definitely feeds my systems monitor panel by locating the source and the fuse that feeds it. I tapped off of that with my previous made up circuit including the inline 2amp fuse.
It works and both detectors test properly with the audible alarm. One small problem though and you'd think that these units would be made fail safe. When I blasted the LP detector with propane it didn't do or say anything, so it looks like a replacement is in order and it might as well be for the both of them unless someone can tell me how to induce carbon monoxide into the CO detector for proper testing.
