Just purchased National Surfside and the generator won't start. Dealer said you have to push in auto choke. Can't find it. I found the word but nothing there I could see to push. I know that I have to get it replaced but they started it by pushing on the choke.

George, my Generac has a prime button to prime for a few seconds, for gas I would guess, if its been idle for a while it is the only way it will start when I hit the start button. --"007"

I used the prime button, but according to the dealer, it's the choke. I can't seem to find it.

Finally found the button to push. It seems the button was broken off and you have to reach behind where it says "choke" and push it in. Started right up...Not sure how much it's gonna cost to put in a new auto-choke. The National dealer in Manteca, CA says they don't work on generators. But, I found a service center that does a lot closer to home.

Glad to hear you found the problem. Shouldn't be too bad to repair.
