Newbie here. I have read several warnings about carbon monoxide poisening while sitting overnight. If there is no wind outside, should I be worried about carbon monoxide poisoning if the coach is "dry camping" in a parking lot overnight? I know this may sound like a silly worry, but it does bother me a bit.
Of course there is a carb monox sensor/alarm in the coach, and there are no prior issues with being parked for a few hours with the genny running, just dont know about it for overnight or say a 24 hour period.
Thanks folks!

The only time I have had problems with carbon monoxide is while I was staying in the over night parking area for the Rose Bowl game. We were all parked like sardines in a can, tight. Other then that I have never had a problem while dry camping. However, that does not mean I won't either. Just be cautious, keep the side windows closed, the vents open and keep the carbon monoxide alarm up to date. I have two, one down on the floor at the bottom of the inside step and one mounted high in the side of a cabinet close to the oven. Do you know how to test yours?

There is a test button on it, which I have used. Is there another way?

Yes, Use a pocket or oven butane lighter. Light the lighter and while holding the valve open blow out the flame, hold the lighter close to your monitor while the butane is flowing. This should give you an alarm.

If there is no wind,, My generator will fire off my CO alarm in about 2 hours.
A neighbor's depends on which way his exhaust is exhausting. I've had it happen.
Now, If I (and he) Add the Gen-Turi generator exhaust extension.. 25 hours and no annoying BEEP BEEP BEEP or any other evidence of a problem.
In short, if parked, extend it.
With a 55mph "wind" (Read that still air, motor home doing 55mph) no problem
