Having recently moved from a travel trailer to a Class C with a generator, I have a question about storage. Please excuse me if this has been covered previously.

Sadly, our MH will be put away from late October until May. Once it is in storage, we can't get to it.

I've been told that the gen should be started with a load applied and run for two hours once a month.

The question is: How do I prepare the gen for storage if it is going into storage this long? Will harm come to it if it sits unattended for 6 months?

My intention is to use Mobil 1 for the oil change and a new Wix filter plus a dose of StaBil in the main fuel tank.

Thanks for your help.

Be sure to run it well before you store it to get the treated fuel into the carburetor and you should be ok.
