Hi Marc, and welcome to iRV2! You'll get a better response if you start a "new thread", posting your question with a title something like: "A/C Causes Generator to Quit".

That said, it could be that your A/C demands more current than the generator is providing. In the new thread (topic), if you can post more details on the generator (what is the rating in kilowatts, whether it's a diesel/gasoline, and manufacturer's name), you'll get a lot more help.

Again, welcome to iRV2!

There should be a manual for your Gen in links above that should supply you the answer.

Im in a E350 Ford chassis on a fourwinds. The Onan 4kw genny has spluttered after 7 hours running from service. The fuel, 12v are good and plugged, and appliances are off and it coughs a bit like it wants to start. Does it sound like the air filter or Spark plug, or should I be thinking of somit else. Cheers Brian from UK, currently in San Diego...

Found it, 50 hours then every 150 hours afterwards. I have 19 more hours to go and I have the oil & filter in the basement waiting

Can anyone tell me where to find, and how to get to the air filter on my QD10000 Onan? Is not in any manual I have referenced.

Anyone know the thread size of the oil drain plug on a 7.5 Onan QD. Would like to have a Fumoto valve ordered before next oil change. Thanks all.

Fault Codes for Onan genset

I have a 2007 5500 Onan Marquis Gold that is giving me a fault code of 47. The manual say a 47 is "controller unable to sense ignition". I just returned from a trip where it worked great the whole time. I spent $ 867.00 on it prior to the trip for a new carburetor and service. I really don't want to have to take it back to that shop. Any thoughts on what I can do.

Synthetic oil

I have a Generac 55G generator in a 1999 Monaco and wondering if
it's a good idea to change over to using Synthetic oil.
I thinking it will run better and cooler with synthetic oil
but is it too late or bad idea.
