Generator Oil Level Switch

I have recently developed a problem with my Cummins 7.5KW Quiet Diesel generator in that it stops running intermittently.

I've read some threads that suggest that this might be caused by an oil level safety switch that shuts the generator down if the oil level gets low. I've checked my oil level and topped it off although it was within the operating range on the dipstick. This may have helped, it's hard to say, but it didn't eliminate the problem. I would like to locate the switch and bypass it if possible to verify whether it is indeed the cause. If anyone can help me out with info in that regard I would appreciate it.

FWIW, the MH is full of fuel and the generator was serviced within the last 20 hours of use.

Not sure you'received having the same issue, but I had a problem with my QD6000 after a service, which caused it to shut off after ~20-30 sec. and throw a 036 code (non-specific fault), called Cummins who had no advice since all fluids were full, and power and full were good.
Searched this forum and YouTube and found references to a "oil too full" issue because the dipstick Full mark is actually too full. Drained ~1/2 quart as recommended and it worked!
I wrote Cummins about it but did not get an explanation.

Thanks for the reply and the info. That's weird. It's kind of scary to think about lowering the oil level. I'll have to ponder that one.
