GenSet Auto Setup Assist Needed

Trying to help a friend set up his new GenSet to auto on his 5er. We are getting the below message instead of allowing us to set it to auto. What does this this mean and how do we fix it?? HELP...

TIA

The generator has a safety feature that prevents the generator from auto starting. For example, if you move the vehicle into an enclosed storage area, you wouldn't want it to start automatically because of carbon monoxide.

The safety setting for a 5th wheel should be 'Brake' (light). Not the 'Park'ing brake.

Your safety setting looks to be incorrect.

You will also see this every 30 days once auto mode is enabled.

It wants you to verify 'auto start'.

See the manual for full explanation.

For a 5th wheel this should be set to BRAKE not PARK. Go into the Auto Gen settings menu and change this setting to BRAKE and then connect the truck to the 5th wheel via the umbilical cord and touch the brakes in the truck. This will clear the safety feature check and will now allow you to set the Auto Gen. Repeat every 30 days that you are parked.

Thank You! That was the fix and all is well now. I told him of the 30 day process as well.
