Grounding 12 volt plug in

I'm adding a simple 12 volt receptacle to each side of the bed to charge phones and such at night while dry camping. I'm tieing directly into the 12 volt fuse box in an open plug and we'll install a 15 amp fuse. My question is do I need to ground the receptacle. It appears the 12 volt fuse box is it self grounded. None of the other wires going into b the fuse box appear to be grounded unless they are grounded somewhere else. I thought about grounding on what appears to be a ground post right by the converter.Click image for larger version

The negative wire coming out of the converter goes to this post along with a bunch of other wires. Not sure if that is a safe place to ground or not.

Any 12 volt circuit MUST be complete to ground.
The fuses are power in , power out to the load ,so they don't require a ground at the fuse box, at the load the circuit will be grounded. So the power outlet you install will have a power point ; probably at the center point; and require a ground to the outside of the housing.
The post, with the negative wire from the converter, will be a great ground.

You will need both positive and negative(ground) to your receptacle. From your picture the ground post looks to be a great place to connect the ground wire.

The information is out there, all you have to do is let it in.
