I have a 2011 Thor Windsport 32A and I am wondering about putting on some Gutter Extensions, I see two types: snap in or screw on, Which is the best type to install and are they worth the effort. Appreciate any info you can provide..

I purchased the extentions a couple of years ago and installed them. Later, I took them off, because I didn't feel like they were effective. When the A/C drainage water drips down, the wind will always blow the water onto the coach and cause the water spotting, defeating the purpose of gutters. Where is it that you never have any wind?

The only thing that will work, would be drain tubing, from the gutter, all the way to the bottom of the coach. Unless that's done by the mfg. (painted, etc) it would look ugly, to me. That's my 2 cents worth.

We had them on several of our past RV's and just recently put them on our present motor home. IMHO I like them. Keeps some of the streaks from running down the side of the coach.

Hi Bob England,
Welcome to iRV2. I've had the snap on gutter extensions on all my coaches. However, that is not the end of the story. I also put 2 clothes pins on the end of each gutter extension. This takes the run off water way away from the coach. They do stay on as one travels down the road.

Gary - So the clothes pins are attached at each end of the gutter, but how... clipped onto the end? And then just left on? If you put two on each end, how are you attaching them? If you get a chance, get back to me, eh? I'm curious how this works. Thanks

Hi Everyone,
The clothes pins fasten to the plastic, snap on, gutter extensions just like one would put them on a clothes line. Pictures are:

I bought longer extensions so the rain would clear the RV, and I put Eternabond on them to keep them in place. Works fine except when we brush a tree .

They are about 5-inches long.
