I use my San T Flush frequently to rinse and then add fresh water after dumping my black tank but it's a bit of a pain to get out the brown hose and often i have to disconnect my fresh water hose if there is only one hose bib available to hook up the San T Flush.
This would be much easier if I hard plumbed a water line from the coach fresh water inlet to the San T Flush with a one way valve and on/off valve so I could add water into the black tank just by turning a valve.
Anyone have experience doing this? Comments? Suggestions?
Thanks much,
Rick

yes, the previous owner of my rv plumbed it that way. the san t flush has a one way valve. I do not have a picture, but will try to get one and send it to you if no else sends one first. it looks quite simple. he did it with pvc pipe.

This has been talked about a lot on TiffinRVNetwork.com. The general consensus is you are putting your health at risk if you have a failure in the back flow preventer. It does not take but a little trash to hold it open, thereby allowing your fresh water to become contaminated.
The decision there is was just too much of a health risk for the small amount of time savings.

Rico, I am sure plumbing the San-T-Flush the way mine is would not pass any plumbing code, but if you have the supply hose turned on before opening the valve even if there was some debris holding the oneway valve open there would be no back pressure to force anything into your fresh water. I could not figure out how to post a picture, but I tried to send you one in a private message. if that does not come thru send me an email at mik48@msn.com and I will email it to you that way. if you can, post the pic on this discusion and maybe someone will talk me into removing mine. I sure would hate to because it is handy.

I would not consider hard plumbing this. Mr. Murphy being the guy he is, just might decide to cause me a water quality problem sometime.
