Height differrence 4 Samsung 197

Can someone tell me the exact extra height needed to go from a Norcold 1200 to the Samsung 197?

I have heard from 5- 9 inches. I hope 5-7 will do.

Thank you!

Look up the specs. I think it's 6 inches.

This is the same install that I have in my coach.

I installed a Samsung RF197. I don't remember how tall the Norcold was, but I do know the height of the Samsung. It it 69.75" tall, and they recommend a minimum of 1/4" for venting at the top resulting in a minimum opening requirement of 70".

Ditto. Whatever you have to do to install an RF197, it will be worth the effort.

The opening for our Samsung fridge measures 70" high and 32.25" wide... and there's barely any room to spare. The 70" height includes the feet/rollers at the bottom and the hinges at the top. If you don't mind the unit sticking out of the opening even further, you can get away with a lower height... the hinge sticks up by about 1 1/8" above the top of the main box... but only at the very front of the unit.

The refrigerator is deeper than the Norcold 4-door unit that it replaced, so it sticks out of the opening by about 4.5" (including the doors, but not including the handles).

Hope that helps... because we're THRILLED with our Samsung refrigerator. It works like a champ and has so much more storage capacity than the old RV fridge!

Best of luck!
