HELP

Help! So here is what happened last weekend. Picked up rv turned on generator, cranked up AC and drove it home.

Once home turned off ac and generator.

Turned on propane started fridge. Everything is good to go.

Next morning fridge is off. Won't turn on, as if no power.

Leave for park. Turn on generator and ac off we go. 1 1/2 hours later we arrive. Turn off ac and generator.

Get to site all set up. Plug in surge protector all good. Plug in rig.

Few minutes later turn on ac. Runs a few minutes then ac surges almost shutting off then powers up, and shuts down completely. Try to turn on. Nope.

Check plug from rig to surge and loud "pop" now rig is dead.

Electrican checks male end of 50 amp cord, wires came loose arced and poof.

Male plug fixed, plug in rig the gfi in bathroom trips. Reset electrican checks ac. Dead! Checks fridge, dead. Checks microwave, dead.

Power surge ok. But now when I plug into 30amps the electric pole arcs, then trips bathroom gfi. This did it to three power polls. If you reset the gfi, I get power to rig. All power polls checked, wires, plugs breakers nothing wrong with poles.

As of now refridge, ac units, and microwave are all DRT, (Dead Right There)

Any suggestions 😡😡😡😡😬😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

My first thought is that there may have been a problem in the campground power pedestal. Is your surge protector the type that protects against ALL electrical problems or just surges?

'Electrician' replaced Male end of power cord....correct?

Then I would 'Recheck' wiring inside that new 50A male plug

Sounds like 'mis-wired' OR stray strand of wire making contact with other wires/terminals

Round probe.........Ground/Green
*Left Blade.............L1/Red
*Right Blade...........L2/Black
Bottom Blade........Neutral/White

Left/Right Blades.....either HOT doesn't matter.

I agree the first thing I would check would be that plug the electrician rewired, years ago my father had that happen on a camping trailer, professional electrician assumed how the wire should be wired for an RV outlet, and ended up frying all the electronics in the travel trailer.
