Fred, It will usually take more than 4hrs to get cold. Try switching it to run on propane and see how cold it is tomorrow morning.

Touch the refer FINS in the main compartment. Mine get pretty chilly after a short two hours. I always run the thing overnite (12+ hours) before packing it for a trip. Same performance either propane or AC.

After 4 hours the cold plate in the freezer should be cold and possibly have a thin film of frost on it. You can check if the chimney outside is warm if it's on electric or propane. Open the outside access to feel if the chimney is warm. If it's not, turn off the auto mode and put it on propane. You should hear it light and hear the flame burning. If it does light give it a few hours and check the freezer again. If it starts getting cold the electric heating element may be burnt out.

Like they said, shoulda turned it on a few days ago. Usually 24hrs is good, unless you put in warm drinks and such, then longer.

I quick way to tell if it is on is to go outside and open the panel.......Feel around the heat chimney near the bottom...If its lit or heating on electric, it should get warm after a few minutes......Then give it a good day to cool down in the fridge compartment

Thanks guys for the info.

I failed to level the MH when I parked it last. It was about
4 degrees sideways and 6 degrees fore and aft.

I leveled it to 1 and 3, that's the best level obtainable on my
parking area..

Then it started to get cold after a bit. The manual says not to
exceed 3 and 6.

Perhaps it didn't come on because there's a cut-off switch when
the level exceeds those angles.

Next time I won't be so STUPID and level the MH every time I
park it.

THANKS; I've learned a lot on how to check things out. Good info
for the future.

Might help if you provide the model number. There seems to be a lot of problems with the 1200 series.
