Help hooking up backup camera in 1984 Vanguard

Hi everyone!

I bought this backup camera:

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and am having issues hooking it up!

It works, I bench tested it and it booted up no problem. I am trying to connect it to my reverse light or tail light. Both are reading at 10V of power but no connection when I hook up the camera.

Find photos of the tail light and back of motorhome here: https://imgur.com/a/5oHeX25

How do I hook this thing up? Thanks!

10V may not be adequate, I suspect due to poor connections. FWIW, over 80% of 12V issues are due to poor or missing ground.

For 12V+ I would connect to a tail lamp, this way you may monitor your tow-bar and vehicle while driving by turning on your parking lights/headlamps. You need to locate a clean solid ground.

My MH had a non-working Sony BU system, I removed it and powered the camera by re-purposing the old coax from the dash area, center wire was 12V+, negative was braid. It's still working 6 yrs later.
