I have a ahe-100-02s aqua hot.will i damage the unit by adding antifreeze directly into the radiator cap opening?......if i do this how long after shutting down the unit before adding fluid?...also today my living room heat is not hot,but the bedroom is,i checked all fuses they are good.my bay pump makes noise gets hot but the fluid does not seem to be getting threw. I tried swapping out relay and had no luck, could it just be not enough fluid to supply both bays at the same time?.... Please help

Sometimes the check valves on the outlet side of the pumps become stuck. Try tapping a rubber mallet to the outlet side of the zone pumps and see if that helps. Additionally, your system may just need to bled of air. There are bleed screws on each of the heat exchangers.

If the overflow tank is staying full check the hose from the boiler neck to the overflow tank for cracks. This is a standard hose that can be gotten from any parts store. You may also check the radiator cap to see if the seal has went bad. If so you can get a new one at any parts store because they are a standard cap.

You need to let the unit cool down at least a couple of hours prior to removing the radiator cap. To answer your fill question yes you fill the boiler through the neck where the raidator cap is located. Depending on how old your unit is will depend on what type antifreeze that should be used. If your system uses ethylene glycol (standard antifreeze) make sure you put back a 50/50 mix because more antifreeze isn't always better. (you have better heat exchange at 50/50) In the newer units they use a propylene glycol or Camco boiler fluid. So make sure which you need before adding any.

If you have lost a enough of your antifreeze you may have air in the system or a valve stuck like was mentioned in previous post.
