My old sportcoach has a mod 682 that suddenly stopped getting cold enough to keep refrigated food cold. The freezer is keeping food frozen. However, its as cold as it should be; I'll test temp. when I get a batt for my thermometer.
This is what I know:
1 the gas flame is very good
2 the ac heater is working
3 the flue is open
4 the unit is installed correctly
5 the fins are clean
6 there is no amonia smell or residue that i can see

The qestions I have now are
1) Does anyone know how to test the thermostat and thermistor ( IE ohms per degree or volts range )?
2) How far down is the end of the flue pipe on that mod? I havent removed the mesh from the top yet .
3) Does anyone know a good website for Norcold parts?
4) What other things do I need to test ?

John

John here is a couple of links for trouble shooting and parts numbers.
PPL.COM has Norcold parts if you do not see on site give them a call.
You have a temp sensor and I'm not sure where it is on your fridge on mine its on the cooling fin in box part of fridge.
The 1200 fridge has a picture and a test to check it out. Just bring up the 1200 on web site and you will see what I mean.

Here are a couple of places to check.
1. RvIceBox.com - Dometic and Norcold RV Refrigeration repair

2. RV Cooling Unit Warehouse.

3. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/r...ccessories.htm

When I took it out of the bus I turned it every witch way and shook it.
I turned it on this morning and it seems to be working the freezer is below zero and the reffer is comming down to temp.
I have it on ac with a 12v batt for the controls.
I amgoing to leave it run over the wkend and call one or two of the reman places on monday.
Any thoughts.

PS I was in a campground a few years ago and herd abt the shakeing upside down idea
