We had the motor home winterized last fall now we have de-winterized it and found that the shower drain is plugged. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to unplug it without any damage. Tried the plunger...no success!!!

A plunger always worked for me.

I use a regular garden hose, higher pressure the better. I have a pivot shut off and small nozzle on the end the water comes out of. Any hardware store should have one. Use a small towel to cover the nozzle to keep the water from spraying back in your face. This works on any drain in our coach to flush and clean.

Are you sure that your grey water tank is not full and giving you the appearance of a clogged drain? Anyways long tweezers might work.

Have seen advertized and in store (WM/lowes/HD?) a small thin brush that goes down thru the drain cover and hooks into blockage to pull it loose. Unless you put anti freeze into the trap it would appear to me that the blockage has dried out. If so then perhaps leaving water standing in the drain would help to loosen the blockage. HOT water usually will unplug a drain/toilet stoppage

Try using a large wet dry shop vacuum. Stick the nozzle over the drain hole in the shower and perhaps you can suck up what ever it is that is stopping the flow. If the nozzle is small put some rags around it to help seal it over the drain.

Another trick I use is to pack the drain with baking soda and then pour vinegar down it. The foaming reaction breaks apart the clog.

Here's a plastic strip drain opener from Harbor Freight. The strip has small barbs on its sides. Insert it all the way into your drain and slowley remove. Hair etc. are easily removed.
