help with Extend a Stay LP kit
Have connected kit twice...repaired two leaks...still have a tiny, but visible gap between male part of extend a Stay & female end of regulator. Is there any safe, reliable product for blocking gap? Tightening further doesn't help

Should not be any leaks. Sounds like a component needs to be replaced.
Considering how serious a gas leak is you might want to seek a professional installation.
Good luck.

These devises should not leak with normal tightening so, it may be deffective or one of the existing connections on the RV is bad.
You could try using some teflon tape on the joints. There is also some pipe joint cement for natural gas connections.
*If* I went this route, I would be very careful to be sure there were no leaks and I would check them regularly. For the peace of mind, I would be more inclined to get a replacement and/or the existing RV fittings.

I've used them for year to use gas grilles from my onboard propane.. That type of fitting doesn't need to be tight, and it certainly doesn't need any sealer or teflon tape.
Is it leaking?
Do you smell gas?

The male part of the extend-a-stay and the regulator.. Are you speaking of the Quick Disconnect fitting (The line to the grill) that seals on the stem, but even if there is a gap, you should not be able to see it as it would be under the cap. (The part that screws on)
And it should not leak. Leaks, as someone said, are dangerous. as in you could well wake up in the next county.

When I bought mine new, it came with a leak. I verified the source by spraying on some soapy water. It came from the assembly itself, where a pipe-threaded stem went into another part. I disassembled in and used Rectorseal pipe thread sealant on it for reassembly. No leaks since then.
They hadn't used thread sealer on it when assembled at the factory.
