If you install one of these intelligent devices, both batteries will be charged when either is being charged if charging is required. But only one will be discharged depending on which load is being used, the truck, or the chassis.

re: Kool Mate 36- I looked that up. You can junk that out now for whatever you can get for it on Craigslist and get a real refrigerator, or you can do it after living w/it for a while. I predict you will want a real refer real soon. Of all your challenges for setting up sweet living accommodations, I'd say that is the biggie. The KM36 isn't any good when its 85-100 out, so it will be so much lost storage space during much of the summer.
Otherwise, continued good luck. Sounds like you have a wary eye on the caliber of tech you run into, so you are on the right track. When you find good competent service, its worth the big sweaty wad of money you have to fish out. When you get a dud, he can really tick you off.
