Thanks for the info..I think that it's a tad bit over my head. I used to do things like that but haven't for a few years.Be sides it's a HEAVY sideXside and I don't have too much help around here.I do sometimes surprise myself though. The problem I have had lately when working on cars especially,is that you can just forge ahead like we used to and then in the middle of the job,you discover something like a 10MM bolt that needs a deepset socket and an unusual extension that you have to use to reach the bolt or in doing a simple thermostat job,you discover that there several pipes routed over the therm housing and they are also immovable unless you have a SPECIAL tool.
It's s'posed to be here Mon or Tues,or not,and installed ASAP as I have to have it in place for the wedding Wed PM.

IT'S COLD !!!!!! I don't know what happened, but I turned it on last evening and when I checked it this AM the freezer was 40 degrees and the fridge was 70 on #3 setting on AC...So,I turned it to #5 and left it.about 12PM I checked it again and the freezer was 10 degrees and the fridge was 40(+--). I then turned it to gas andnow at 4PM,I'm thinking about reloading it for tomorrow's trip...

This hot weather is really rough on an absorption refrigerators. It will help a bunch to get a fan in the out side unit to push or pull air through the coils. As a quick fix, set a table close to the out side door and open the cover and blow the fan at the unit. Next get one of the battery powered fans or wire in a 12 volt muffin fan inside the unit. Set the fan down low and blowing up.

That's a good idea for most of you,but around here we're barely into the low 80's and next week will be low 70's and possible showers..Great saturday is 50% chance of showers and it's the rally in Port Townsend and next week it's at least wed-fri with 75% showers for the wedding on the 14th.. It just ain't fair.. Oh well,at least the fridge is cold..
