We have been camping for 4 days on shore power with the hot water heater working perfectly when it suddenly stopped. Got plenty of propane (furnace and refrig are working). No click at the unit outside when wife turns it on at the control board...2 Amp fuse seems good.....pulled all connections, cleaned and re-attached...I'm stumped! Is there another fuse somewhere in the system? Can I try to manually light the unit? Any ideas gratefully accepted.

I should add that the light comes on on the control board when you switch the heater to "on", the "pilot light out" light does not. This is a gas only heater. Thanks for your help.

HI,
Could be one of two things I think. One is the gas shutoff relay which is on the propane line going to the orifice and the other is the black electronic module. My thoughts would be the relay and you could try taping it lightly in case it is stuck.
Also leave the unit off and then go outside to it and put your hand on the relay unit while your wife turns it on. You should feel a click.
Since the light on the panel doesn't show a red light it could also be a problem with the module.
I hope this helps.
