hot water heater wont light

when i push the switch to on the red light use to come on for a second then the hot water heater would light now red light doesnt come on and heater dont ignite

Well no red light means no 12 volts. Have check for a bad fuse. Not sure if it would be at the control board at the tank or in your fuse box inside of the home.

my water heater is a suburban some one said that maybe i dont have 12 volts going to it i checked fuses and flipped breakers off than back on the one side of my switch says reset above it but i dont believe it resets anything just a light also checked reset buttons on top of water heater no go
