House battery problem...2000 Fleetwood

I have an ongoing problem with keeping a charge in the coach battery, and seek an assist in this nagging issue.

I had the house battery (12V) replaced with two 6 volt battery's, and these new house batteries have never reached a full charge, and are near dead at any time; the generator power supply is always not sufficient to start the generator unless the coaches engine is started.

This is a 2000 Fleetwood Tioga that was recently purchased from a private owner and the house batteries where condemned, then replaced by an RV mechanic. This rig has been is storage prior to purchasing.

It has been suggested that the battery cut switch be turned on, and the converter / inverter should be examined, but they cannot be located

Does anyone here have a remedy or fix for these problem(s)?

Thanks

James

You need to take a reading of the house batterys before plug in and after it's plug in see what the meter reads. and yes any time it's plug in the disconnect should be on. If you need to find the converter it's going to under the fridge or behind a access panel or cover. If the batts are needing charge the voltage after it's plug in should be in the range of 13.6-13.8 range if your batts voltage is the same before you plug in as it is after you plug in then the issue is the converter which is a 120V plug in type with aq POS & NEG & groung wire.
