Our Itasca has the gravity fill feature so adding fresh water sanitizer to that coach is simple. The Adventurer has no gravity fill feature so I just pour the sanitizer directly in the hose, hook up to the fresh water source and select the "tank fill" option and flush the sanitizer directly into the tank. Turns out this method is almost simpler than pouring it in to the gravity fill spout.

I use the Thetford Fresh Water Tank Sanitize kit. It's about $10 which is obviously more than bleach but this system offers more than just bleach. If you follow the instructions it will take you about 2 hours to complete the procedure. I've used this on water systems that had nasty foul rotten egg smelling water. Be sure and include the hot water tank and lines in your flush/sanitation procedure. That's where the majority of the bacteria lives.

Available at you favorite Camping World from coast to coast. (sarcasm)
