Not only am I an idiot - but my parents should have made me wear a helmet !!

I must confess that I am the one with a problem with the 6-way chair leg rest that would not retract. After trying to make it work using RVWizard's excellent directions - with no success - I just gave up and went about my business.

When I returned, my wife was sitting in the chair -WITH THE LEG REST RETRACTED. When I asked her how she did it, her response is why I still need to be wearing a helmet. She said, "I just pushed the retract button and it worked."

Since it IS her chair, she should know how it operates! The problem with me is that I WAS TRYING TO MAKE IT WORK USING THE WRONG BUTTON!!

I felt like such a dunce. For some reason, I was trying to use the button on the front of the chair - but the RIGHT button is on the side of the chair.

Now, I have no idea (and neither does my wife) what the button I was pushing does operate. It does make a buzzing sound, like it's supposed to do something, but I don't know what. It is a rocker type switch, with a sideways "l" on one side, a sideways "ll" on the other side and a "O" in the middle. If anyone knows what it's supposed to do I'd love to hear. And I wager that I will again feel like an idiot when you reply. So please, help me feel like and idiot again!

could it be your seat heat or massage?

Good try! I'm sure I'd feel a seat massage. And I KNOW my cold-natured wife would feel the heater. Plus, it does make a sound like it's supposed to be doing something - and we've never been able to find out exactly what. I've even looked in our owner's manual without success.

BTW, I was wondering if anyone would respond to a subject line like "I am an idiot !!" Thanks for looking and your suggestion.

If your seats are like mine, that button is for lumbar support. One direction fills the back w/air the other direction lets it out.

You are not the only one that this has happened to including yours truly.

Oh, thank you kind sir!! What a relief to know that I'm not the only one who didn't know what "that button" did. (I still need to walk around wearing a helmet for my other "dumbness!)

I notice that you have an Advantage Pressure Pro system. I started a conversation at another point asking about a different system and how it compares - Saf-Tee I believe is it's name. Reading posts on iRV2, plus PMs with an iRV2 buddy, made me question Saf-Tee, even though it touted itself as better and cheaper. How long have you had your TPMS, and are you satisfied with it? I've read that Doran has come out with their own version - have you heard anything positive or negative about it?

We start our trip from the SE to the NW (via Nappanee) in early April and wanted to get SOME kind of TPMS before we left.

BTW, do you have insomnia? I noticed your post was at 3:04AM!

I think the Pressure Pro is the way to go. The product is top notch and the support is incredible.

I would have preferred to have the in tire systems but, this is the best I found.

Yes, I do have insomnia.

Thanks for the reply regarding Advantage Pressure Pro. That has been my impression too.

Sorry about the insomnia! My wife can sympathize with you. She has a hard time sleeping.

I haven't looked on a map yet, but where is North Java, NY? (Not that I'll be up that way anytime soon - as we say down South, "I didn't leave anything up there for me to go back!") I did "my time" in the NE with the U. S. Navy in Bath, ME and Newport, RI. We now have blood way too thin for the colder climes.

North Java is 40 miles SE of Buffalo. We are on the very top of a large hill/small mountain. Always colder and windier than Buffalo. We have many windmills in the area.

We call it God's country and God gets angry w/us a lot.

Many feel that way, some are right, but I don't think I would tell anyone that hadn't figured it out.
Hang tough, you'll get better when the sun shines and the weather warms up.
