I bought an EF3000isEb for 500.00

Can anyone tell me how old it is of the serial 7CH-1308027. This thing had 223 hours and is in pretty damn good shape. Hope it was a good deal?

Brand new it is $3114 on Amazon. I'd say you got a great deal!

Congrats on buying someone's mistake.

Marketing is about getting as much of your money as they can.

It depends on what you want to do. If all you want to do is charge batteries and watch TV, then my $88 generator does that.

I am thinking that I would like a generator that will also run an air conditioner while charging batteries and watching TV.

I am looking at the Champion Power Equipment 3500W / 4375W Dual-Fuel Generator at Sam's Club for $350.

So a new, under warranty, more flexible generator with a power higher rating for less money.

No you did not get a good deal.

Sounds to me like you got a good deal and should run pretty quiet particularly in economy mode

True....but with 3 times the noise. This powers my ac plus the other appliances you mentioned and with very minimal noise. I’ve had the champion and it is LOUD. Thanks everyone for your input. God bless!

So how does the Champion do when it comes to making electricity?

If the AC is running and I am watching then outside noise does not bother me.

Something I have considered. I will admit to being slightly irritated by noise.

The only reason to run a generator for more than an hour a day is to run an air conditioner. If I have neighbors, others will be running their AC too.

The degree to which noise irritates you is a personal choice.

Of course if you ask if you got a good deal that is a different matter. So you tell me you got a good deal on a used BMW I will tell you that a new Corolla was cheaper.
