Does anyone have any links to information to share that might help with my build?

I have a 80's Van sized RV that has been completly gutted, and i would like to rebuild into a boondock capable camping van.

I have decided I want to build on a 6V system, will start with a pair of agm 6v batts in the 200ah range. But would like to keep things flexible enough to add another pair or two latter.

I have no idea how to proceed, but before I just take it to a shop and throw money at it, I thought id ask around here first.

Hoping to find the info I need to do this myself, but If I do resort to taking it to a shop to build the house electric system, anything I should make sure they do?

Thanks in advance!

Start by reading all you can about basic wiring. If it relates to 12 Volt DC all the better. Libraries are full of books. Folks tend to forget they exist.

Join the Tiffin RV network. Look in their tech library. Cruzer has written a electrical tutorial that will amaze you. If you are a DIY you will probably become an electrican. Also has plumbing and other stuff. Should help you and save you some $$$.

No. You need to have 12-14 vdc output feeding the coach.
