I have been plagued for years with my ice maker dripping an icicle off the front end of the ice tray causing an ice rink in the front corner of the ice hopper-

I finally figured out the problem and thought others with a similiar problem might benefit from my solution.
The freaking ice maker was mounted in the freezer tilting towards the front edge-

Here's the fix- I wedged two pennies (about .100 thick) between the molded rail and the front edge of the bracket. It worked great and the ice maker worked better than it ever has before. Problem was the pennies started to turn green-

. I now have cut two thin pieces of aluminum to replace the pennies-
