If you have been considering a Truma Aqua Go and are in Florida.....

Then you might want to take advantage of this.

The new Truma Service Center in Lakeland, Florida is offering free installation for the first 50 installs. We are two hours from Lakeland at our seasonal site for the winter so although I wasn't keen on breaking camp and traveling 2 hours each way, the deal was VERY tempting. But just for grins, I gave them a call to see if there was a possibility of them doing an on site install and that the promo was still going on.

To my surprise, not only was it still going (only up to about 22 right now), they offered to travel 2 hours to our seasonal site to do the install for a mere 39.99 travel charge. How could I refuse?

So today, we retired our 1 year old Girard Gen 3 tankless water heater for a Truma Aqua Go Comfort. Cost for the unit? With free installation, a black door, the 39.99 travel charge and 7% Florida sales tax, the total out the door was 1489.00 and change. I then had a 50.00 off coupon given to me by another Truma owner, which brought the total down to 1439.00. I have read that others have spent upwards of 2000.00 for the same setup.

Then to put icing on this cake, the tech also offered to register the unit for me, and if I did that, they would extend the 1 year warranty to 2 years as well.

The install went great, the tech was very knowledgeable, professional, and detail orientated, and I couldn't be happier with the install or the unit's performance. He also told me that they would be opening new centers in Sacremento and Phoenix in the near future so even if your not in Florida, keep your eyes out for those new openings and hopefully they will offer the same promotion there as well.

And if anyone plans on taking advantage of this promo in Florida, I can send you a 50.00 off coupon, just PM me.

No, actually the unit that was replaced was working "as designed" and I actually have been an advocate of the Girard, to a point. Why, you or someone you know want to buy a properly operating Girard Gen 3?? I can make someone a good deal on it!

We were already planning on replacing the Girard with a Truma at some point down the road but the chance to save hundreds on a Truma with the free installation offer, the fact that a factory tech was doing the install instead of who knows who at the dealership, and that we would no longer have to work around all the "quirks" that present themselves with the Girard (even when operating "as designed"), made it a no brainer for us.

I took on the project of a 1978 Itasca, I have a thread in "Forums/Vintage". Not for camping, rather alternative lodging for Oncology treatments. There are no local services except blood draws for veterans.

I dont even know if it is doable as I have a dime a dozen attwood. I just keep on the look out for "Plan B" options. Shipping may not even be in my reach.

There is a classified here, and on another popular message board (forum.) Message me if you need help!
