I have a 2004 BT Cruiser that has accumulated very few miles not because of problems with the Cruiser but because I have not been able to get around well. Dual knee replacement has slowed me down but not that I am ready - the Cruiser is not.

I have had it parked here at the house with the slide extended. Today when I attempted to pull the slide in there was "NO" reaction to the switch that should have drawn it in.

The batteries are fully charged, the driver's seat is full forward, the ignition switch is turned off and the transmission is in park. The slide in/out switch checks good with an ohm meter.

Observation: The in/out switch connects to three 22ga wires while the slide motor is connected to what appears to be two 10ga stranded wires. I conclude from this that there is a relay or control circuit somewhere within the belly of this coach that allows this slide motor to be actuated.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or advise that might help me put this coach back on the road before I am too old to use it.

Set the parking brake. If still no go, check the fuses and circuit breaker for the slide out.

Thanks for the inputs.

I set the parking brake but that did not resolve the issue. I have checked all the fuses (that I know about) and found none that were blown. I did discover a tripped GFI breaker (in the galley area) but that did not resolve the issue. I did not know that GFI was there, however, so at least some good came out of this.

I need to locate the control mechanism (relay, circuit board, whatever it is). If not a fuse, tucked away in a deep dark place, I am convinced that my problem is some sort of control mechanism.

All I really need is some sort of reliable wiring diagram. It is such a shame that the user's manual does not address this short coming. Every coach should come with schematics of the embedded systems.

I have resolved the problem I had with my slideout. As originally suspected, it was an electrical problem in the control circuit. Had the documentation for this rig contained the information that I believe it should have, this problem would have been resolved in about ten minutes.

I finally learned, after a lot of time on the internet, that the slide system was manufactured by Power Gear. They have a great deal of information about their entire product line available online.

My problem was resolved when I found the electrical diagram here.

I hope that this discovery is of help to others. GULFSTREAM - please document your products with wiring and plumbing schematics.
