Installing circuit breaker?

I'm installing a 12 volt in line circuit breaker. Which terminal goes to the battery, the copper colored or the silver colored.

I'm not a professional but I usually run the copper to the battery.

Jon has it right, in general the circuit breakers are marked with something like "bat" and "aux", "bat goes to the battery and "aux" goes to the load, in this example "bat" is copper colored:

Thanks folks. It makes sense since the brass/copper colored on AC current goes to the power source.
