I have a 2003 Discovery Pusher. Freedom combi Inverter
About a month ago I started hearing a clicking sound from the bay where the inverter is. I switched the inverter off for a while and it quit. Now with the inverter on the batteries will go dead , new batteries in june. pluged in to shore power or with the generator running they will drain to nothing the generator wil quit then I have to start the motorhome to charge them..
Reading other post they say the solinoid I heard clicking is for the boost switch to start the coach..
I was parked next to a friend who has a bounder with the exact same setup, we checked voltage on batteries and on the inverter and they are both the same..

Any insight you can give I'll try before taking it to the dealer..

The same voltage at the battery and the inverter means it is not working. Monitoring your system is vital to the health of your batteries and a VOM is your friend. It will tell what it is being fed, or not fed from your inverter or alternator or generator. Car and Deep Cycle Battery FAQ has LOTs of good information. The battery manufacturers web site should tell you the ideal voltage to charge your batteries fully, and the inverter manufacturers web site what it should be putting out, (they may not be the same).

I'm feeling studip now... I've worked on this thing for about 4 hours. Checking all the voltages... I decided to check each battery to make sure they were still good and the 1st connector I took apart was loose .... I took them all apart and clean them and now it works perfect.. that was the only thing I never checked...

You have one other important connection and that is your ground wires for batteries both coach & house, Gen ground, converter-inverter ground, transfer switch and they will be attached to your chassis frame.

Welcome to irv2 and the fun of RVing.
