Inverter overcurrent?

Our 2004 Newmar MADP 4016 has a Xantrex RV2012 inverter/charger controlling four 6v batteries. We have had some flakey power in the park we are staying during the last month or two, mostly undervoltage from over-use of A/C in the park when hot temperatures. Our Surge Guard EMS has always protected us.

Tonight, I heard a "chunk" and the coach lost power for a couple seconds. The park was above minimal voltage, so a different situation. I cycled the pedestal 50A breaker off/on and everything returned to normal, except the status light on the RV2012 was solid red - overcurrent condition. The remote display in the coach does not show that. It's status light inside is flashing green and the charger is going through normal charging cycle. Interior 120vac voltage is normal. 12vdc voltage looks normal. I checked everything in the battery compartment, the inverter, and shore power bay, nothing felt hot, but there was a sort of buzzing sound in the shore power bay, but not loud. I banged with my fist each power element, no change.

How/when does the main inverter overcurrent status light reset? Is there a fire danger? Recommendations?

I would call Xantrex customer service and ask. If you wanted to test it turn off all high amp draw items and then shutdown shore power and see if it works and clears he error. It's possible it will show the error until the next time you use it.

The next morning, all was back to normal. The Xantrex manual says the nonblinking red light is overcurrent, but I don't know what overcurrent means. Is that what it would display for bulk and absorption charging voltages?

AC output is limited to 30 amps. This is a combination battery charger usage and AC loads on the inverter.
