Inverter problem

I'm having intermiten problems with my Xantrex Freedom 458 2000 watt inverter. The inverter seems to work fine but am having problems turning off and on with the Freedom Basic Remote. Xantrex replaced the remote 1 year ago and it worked fine but has started to act up again. The experts ( I think in India) say it is possibly the interface board in the inverter.

Before I drive 120 miles, I sent the remote back to be tested in Indiana.

Has anybody experenced this problem before and how much did it cost to repair.

Charlie, check the springs your batteries are suppose to snap into some times they lose their spring tension. You have changed the batteries also batteries will build up corrosion with springs just clean with ink pen eraser.
